PURPOSE: A public communication terminal for outputting an image recorded in a portable digital camera and a control method thereof are provided to output a photo or transmit the photo to a remote place. CONSTITUTION: A digital camera(300) photographs an object, records photographed image information, and has a communication port for transmitting recorded image information. A public communication terminal(100) connects to a communication port of the digital camera(300), receives and outputs image information recorded in the digital camera(300), and transmits image information to a remote place. The public communication terminal(100) has a camera communication port(103), an image output unit(104), a multiplexing modem(111), a wireless communication modem(113) and a CPU(105). The camera communication port(103) connects to the communication port of the digital camera(300). The image output unit(104) receives image information from the digital camera(300), and outputs received image information. The multiplexing modem(111) and the wireless communication modem(113) transmit image information to the remote place. The CPU(105) controls the camera communication port(103), the image output unit(104), the multiplexing modem(111) and the wireless communication modem(113).
