AN APPARATUS FOR CLEANING AN ELECTORLYTIC SOLUTION IN A PLATING SHELL

PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning electrolyte in plating cell is provided to improve electroplating quality of strip by effectively removing impurities such as sludge contained in the electrolyte in the plating cell during plating of the strip without manual operation of workers. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for cleaning electrolyte in plating cell(110) at which conductor roll(130) is arranged during electroplating of strip, the apparatus(1) comprises an electrolyte collecting rod(10) which is installed in such a way that the electrolyte is collected in a casing(16) for forming an outlet(14) between the casing and cover(12) that is fixed to roll shaft(134) of the conductor roll, which is equipped with a plurality of collecting guide ports(18), and a lower part of which an outlet is formed so that an injection pipe equipped with nozzle is connected to the outlet; a collecting plate(30) which is installed perpendicularly to the casing at one side of the collecting rod and formed in a semi-arc shape to collect impurities, at an inner central part of which a screw rod is extendably arranged so that a body of revolution(36) to which brush for guiding collected impurities into casing(12) as the brush is being rotated with being clamped to the screw rod is adhered is clamped to the screw rod, and in which a packing rod(38) for opening and closing an outlet of the collecting rod is connected to a pressing plate(40) whose spring(42) is supported to a lower side of the screw rod; an impurity collecting tank(50) which is installed on a side wall of the plating cell, at an inner side of which the casing outlet is positioned, in which a pump(54) pumped by driving cam(52) fixed to conductor roll shaft is arranged, and a discharge valve(56) is installed at a lower side of the pump(54); and a screen mesh(70) installed at a lower part of the impurity collecting tank to filter impurities contained in the electrolyte pumped.
