PURPOSE: A device for adjusting the tilting angle of an article supported by main and auxiliary hoists of an overhead crane is provided to prevent the article from being tilted over an adjusted angle by adjusting the tilting angle of such an article as a ladle supported by the main and auxiliary hoists. CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting the tilting angle of an article supported by main and auxiliary hoists of an overhead crane comprises drum rotation transmitters measuring and transmitting the rotation of a wire drum of the main hoist and a wire drum of the auxiliary hoist; first and second rotating shafts(33,34) rotating proportionally to the rotation received from the drum rotation transmitters; a striker(34b) installed to one of the first and second rotating shafts; and a limit switch(35) installed to the other of the first and second rotating shafts and operated by the striker. The first and second rotating shafts are coaxially located. The limit switch stops the main and auxiliary hoists if the striker operates the limit switch.
