Call Process Method in a Open Electronic Toll Collection System

PURPOSE: A method for processing a call in an electronic toll collection system is provided to reduce the transmission and reception time as well as to reduce the error rate and the radius of the cell. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing a call in an electronic toll collection system includes a first step of receiving the road side equipment(RSE) information previously broadcasted from the first RSE; a second step of setting the wireless link between the first RSE and the vehicle terminal in response to the entrance of the vehicle terminal into the communication region; a third step of informing the reception of the request for the toll process after the vehicle terminal transmits the vehicle terminal service information to the first RSE; a fourth step of transmitting the RSE service information to the vehicle terminal if the first RSE transmits the link identification to the second RSE; and a fifth step of informing the reception of the transaction termination information to the second RSE.
