PURPOSE: A set top box having a TV plaza function is provided to add a TV plaza function capable of supplying data accumulation, data correction, data navigation, and data communication services, thereby quickly accessing information. CONSTITUTION: A signal input interface(100) receives an information signal for TV plaza and a broadcasting signal. A demultiplexer(200) classifies the broadcasting signal and the information signal for TV plaza. A signal output interface(300) decodes the broadcasting signal or the information signal for TV plaza, and transmits the broadcasting signal or the information signal for TV plaza to a user TV. A microprocessor(400) controls a system. A storage device for TV plaza(500) stores the information signal for TV plaza. The information signal for TV plaza is stored in the storage device for TV plaza(500) via the signal input interface(100) and the demultiplexer(200), is transmitted to the user TV via the demultiplexer(200) and the signal output interface(300) under control of the microprocessor(400), and is displayed.
