PURPOSE: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is provided to photograph an image without a bending effect in the SSFP by improving a structure of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an acquisition unit, a transformation unit, an addition unit, and an image generation unit. The acquisition unit(202) acquires echo data of plural views in an SSFP state of a spin within a target and repeating an acquiring process for k=0 through M-1 with a step difference in a phase of an RF pulse of 2π·k/M where M is an integer not less than 2, k=0, 1, . . . , M-1. The transformation unit(204) performs a Fourier transformation process for the echo data based on the phase. The addition unit(208) calculates a sum of absolute values of F(0) term and F(1) term of the Fourier-transformed data. The image generation unit(210) generates images based on the sum data.
