FUEL CELL SYSTEM HAVING A PLURALITY OF FRAGMENTED ANODES HAVING MINIMUM LENGTH SUFFICIENT FOR CONSUMING FUEL INTRODUCED INTO ANODES FOR IMPROVING EFFICIENCY OF FUEL USE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING BY-PRODUCT FROM FUEL CELL
PURPOSE: A fuel cell system and a method for removing a by-product from a fuel cell are provided, to improve the efficiency of a fuel cell by employing a plurality of fragmented anodes having a minimum length sufficient for substantially consuming the fuel introduced into the anodes. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell(40) having a plurality of fragmented anodes(20) having a minimum length sufficient for substantially consuming or catalytic reacting the fuel introduced into the anode. Preferably the fuel cell system comprises further a fuel cell fuel supply manifold(26) patterned on a substrate(31, 33), and the fuel discharged one is removed after produced at the fragmented anodes. The method comprises the steps of allowing fuel to flow to a first direction(41) toward an arch-type fuel cell anode; and discharging the by-product to a second direction(37) toward a discharge header after fuel is substantially consumed or catalytic reacted.
