PURPOSE: A method for controlling an avatar on a line and the method for applying the same to an Internet shopping mall are provided to promote goods purchase by using the avatar as a shopping helper of the Internet shopping mall. CONSTITUTION: A member inputs member information after member certification(S130). The member information is stored in a personal information database(S140). The avatar is generated by the image selection for each physical part or the member information stored in the personal information database(S150). The completed avatar is stored in an avatar database(S160). After the member searches a goods information database, it is judged that the purchase goods are selected. If a goods selection signal is inputted, the avatar and the purchase goods of the member are joined(S310).
