PURPOSE: A network switch configuration system and a method are provided to automatically set a network switch configuration of a blade server, so that a network switch can download a desired configuration for each network switch during a boot period, thereby reducing time for setting the blade server. CONSTITUTION: A rack(12) is comprised. Plural chassis(14) are installed on the rack(12). Plural server blades(16) are installed in each chassis(14), and process each of network information. Plural switches(20) are installed in each chassis(14), are interfaced with the server blades(16) related to the chassis(14) and a network(18), and comprise each configuration. PXE(Pre-boot Execute Environment) agents(26) are related to each switch(20), request configuration images to be transmitted from the network(18), and configure the self-related switches(20) with the configuration images.
