OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, A TRACK JUMPING CONTROL CIRCUIT AND A FOCUS JUMPING CONTROL CIRCUIT, PARTICULARLY CONCERNED WITH A FOCUS JUMPING CONTROL MOVING TO OTHER ADJACENT INFORMATION SURFACE FROM A RANDOM INFORMATION SURFACE IN AN INFORMATION CARRIER HAVING PLURAL INFORMATION SURFACES, AND TRACK JUMPING CONTROL MOVING TO OTHER ADJACENT TRACK FROM A RANDOM TRACK
PURPOSE: An optical disk device, a track jumping control circuit, and a focus jumping control circuit are provided to measure a TE(Tracking Error) signal amplitude during a track jumping to an adjacent track, and to vary acceleration/deceleration time of an acceleration/deceleration pulse according to the measured amplitude, then to drive a tracking actuator, thereby realizing a stable track jumping performance. CONSTITUTION: A disk motor(102) rotates an optical disk(101) at predetermined RPM. An optical head(103) reproduces information from the optical disk(101). A traverse motor moves the entire optical head(103) in a direction vertical to a track direction of the optical disk(101). An optical beam generated by a light source of the optical head(103) becomes a parallel beam by a coupling lens, reflected by a polarized beam splitter, and passes through a polarizer. An optical beam spot is formed to have a focus point in thickness direction of the optical disk(101). The optical beam spot irradiates the rotated optical disk(101) by the disk motor(102).
