PURPOSE: A method for automatically canceling alarm information is provided to indirectly determine whether or not a user is absence for a long time so as to automatically cancel alarm information established in an electronic appliance by determining whether or not a key input of the user exists after alarm is performed. CONSTITUTION: A method for automatically canceling alarm information includes a step of allowing a microcomputer to confirm a current time detected by a timer in a sleep mode(S10). Then, the microcomputer determines whether or not the current time is identical to an alarm time stored in a memory(S11). As a result, if the current time is the alarm time, the microcomputer transmits an alarm signal by controlling an alarm and counts an alarm transmission time(S12). Also, the microcomputer detects whether or not key input of the user for stopping the alarm exists(S13).
