PURPOSE: A priority queuing apparatus and a priority queuing method using the same are provided to perform a priority queuing operation with high efficiency using a weighted LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register) using a few flip-flops and simple logic gates. CONSTITUTION: A priority weight assigning unit(430) calculates a priority weight having an output queue selection probability corresponding to the priority of each output queue(420). An output queue selecting unit(410) selects each output queue(420) on the basis of the priority weight. A packet output unit(440) outputs packets from the selected output queue(420). The priority weight assigning unit(430) logically adds or multiplies a plurality of outputs of an LFSR, and generates a priority weight signal having a random probability.
