Method for Preparing Polysaccharide from Taxus Fruits and Cosmetic Composition Containing Thereof

PURPOSE: Provided are a method for preparing polysaccharide from Taxus fruits, and a cosmetic composition containing the same, thereby obtaining powdery polysaccharide having molecular weight of 10000-300000 daltons in high concentration. The polysaccharide has excellent moisturizing effect and increases skin elasticity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing polysaccharide from Taxus fruits is characterized by extracting Taxus fruits with a mixture of water and ethanol; precipitating polysaccharide in the extract and filtering it; and separating the polysaccharide using column. A cosmetic composition contains 0.1-60 wt.% of the polysaccharide.
