PURPOSE: A method and a device for simulating medium conveyance are provided to accurately simulate a conveyance speed of a medium by using a conveyance condition that the medium is conveyed by a conveying roller as a stable forced speed. CONSTITUTION: Movement that a soft medium is conveyed along a conveyance path formed by a pair of conveyance rollers is simulated(S101). A surface of the conveying roller is divided into a contact area and a non-contact area, and the first and the second circumferential speed different with each other are respectively set to the contact area and the non-contact area(S103). If the soft medium reaches the non-contact area, a conveyance force matched with a difference between the second circumferential speed and a moving speed of the soft medium is applied to the soft medium. If the soft medium reaches the contact area, the soft medium is conveyed at the first circumferential speed.
