THE METHOD FOR PREVENTING ABNORMAL OPERATION OF OPTICAL MOUSE WHEN OPTICAL MOUSE PASSES THE BOUNDARY OF DIFFERENT SURFACE

PURPOSE: A method for preventing a failure of an optical mouse generated by passing a border surface of a distinct brightness difference is provided to prevent the optical mouse from the failure by preventing a wrong motion value from being output through the detection of a time that the optical mouse passes the border surface of the distinct brightness difference. CONSTITUTION: Detecting that the optical mouse passes the border surface of the distinct brightness difference by using that an exposure time is continuously changed, a plurality of frames is sampled depending on the exposure time fit to the brightness groups in the border surface(S2). The motion value is calculated by using the sampled frames(S3). When the motion value is calculated by using a reference area and a reference frame, the calculated motion value is output if the motion value having the highest correlation is one(S6). The motion value having the highest correlation is not output if the plural motion values having the same correlation are present(S7).
