PURPOSE: A cationic electrodeposition paint composition, its preparation method, a pigment paste composition and a low temperature curing cationic electrodeposition paint containing the paint composition and the paste composition are provided, to improve corrosion resistance, oil resistance and edge corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION: The cationic electrodeposition paint composition comprises 93-98 wt% of a cationic electrodeposition resin dispersion; and 2-7 wt% of a cationic microgel. Preferably the cationic electrodeposition resin dispersion comprises 35-45 wt% of a cationic electrodeposition resin; 50-60 wt% of deionized water; 0.3-1.5 wt% of an organic acid; 1-5 wt% of a product obtained from the reaction of 10% manganese phosphate and phosphoric acid; and 0.5-1.0 wt% of a cationic surfactant. Preferably the cationic microgel has a particle size of 50-60 nm, a conductivity of 1,300-1,600 microsecond/cm, a pH of 4.5-5.5, a glass transition temperature of 50-70 deg.C and a solid content of 18-25 %. The pigment paste composition comprises 15-30 wt% of a pigment pulverized vehicle; 3-7 wt% of a bismuth compound; and 64-83 wt% of additives.
