A PROTEIN CHIP FOR DRUG DISCOVERY AND ITS USE IN DRUG SCREENING METHOD

PURPOSE: A protein chip for drug discovery and a drug screening method using the same are provided, thereby measuring biochemical reactions which are not measured by the previous chip, so that activities of various enzymes can be easily measured, and rapidly screening a large number of inhibitors to various enzymes using a small amount of enzyme samples. CONSTITUTION: The protein chip for drug discovery comprises a biochip having dots of enzyme samples microarrayed on a substrate; a well plate to be placed on the biochip; and a substrate-agarose solution covering the enzyme sample dots and containing enzyme specific substrate, wherein the enzyme sample is protease, kinase or oxidase; and the substrate is labeled with a fluorescent material having specificity to a certain enzyme in the amino-terminal. The method for screening drug comprises the steps of: reacting the enzyme with a specific substrate on the protein chip; and measuring the presence of the fluorescent material.
