PURPOSE: A polypropylene-layered silicate nanocomposite composition and its preparation method are provided, to improve stiffness, heat resistance, impact resistance, affinity with a polymer resin, dispersion and releasability. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 0.1-40 wt% of a modified polypropylene; 0.1-40 wt% of an organic layered clay; 16-99 wt% of a polypropylene resin; and 0001-4 wt% of a chain extender. Preferably the modified polypropylene is obtained by modifying at least one polypropylene selected from the group consisting of a propylene homopolymer, a propylene-α -olefin copolymer and a propylene-unconjugated diene-based compound copolymer, with a functional group, and has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000-5,000,000; and the organic layered clay is a clay substituted with an organic onium ion. The method comprises the steps of mixing an organic layered clay with a modified polypropylene and a polypropylene resin to prepare a master batch; and adding a polypropylene resin and a chain extender to the master batch and melting the mixture.
