ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE(OLED) DISPLAY HAVING AGING COMPENSATION, ESPECIALLY HAVING LIGHT EMITTING ELEMENTS DIVIDED INTO TWO OR MORE GROUPS

PURPOSE: An OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) display having aging compensation is provided to compensate for aging of an organic material in a display without requiring an extensive and complex circuitry. CONSTITUTION: An Organic Light Emitting Diode(OLED) display includes a plurality of light emitting elements(12), a current measuring device(14), and a controller(16). The light emitting elements have an output that varies with time and are divided into two or more groups. The current measuring device senses a total current used for a display to generate a current signal. The controller activates simultaneously all the light emitting elements, responds to the current signal, and calculates a correction signal for the light emitting elements in the group. The controller applies the correction signal to an input image signal and generates a corrected input image signal compensating for a change in the output of the light emitting elements in the group.
