FLOATING CAPTIVE SCREW FOR STABLY COUPLING LOWER PANEL TO UPPER PANEL WHILE SUPPLYING UNIFORM PRESSURE TO UPPER PANEL

PURPOSE: A floating captive screw is provided to stably couple a lower panel to an upper panel while supplying a uniform pressure to the upper panel for mounting a captive screw. CONSTITUTION: A floating captive screw includes a ferrule(20) having a ring(24) formed in an internal surface of the ferrule(20) and a screw. The screw includes a head, a shank passing through the ferrule(20), a screw part disposed at an end of the shank in opposition to the head, and a collar formed in the vicinity of the screw part(46). A spring(50) formed between the head and the ferrule(20) is disposed on the shank of the screw. The screw mounted on the ferrule(20) is disposed between the head and the collar(48). An inside ring has a size sufficient for preventing the collar(48) from moving through the inside ring. The inside ring has a size sufficient for passing the screw part(46) of the screw through the collar(48).
