ARTIFICIAL ABRASIVE FOR STONE-WASHING USING WASTES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided is an artificial abrasive for stone-washing, which uses wastes like waste glass and waste ceramics as raw material, and therefore can reduce the cost and prevent environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing the artificial abrasive contains the steps of: mixing 100pts.wt. of a mixture, comprising 60-95pts.wt.(based on the total weight of the mixture) of a waste glass powder and 5-40pts.wt.(based on the total weight of the mixture) of waste ceramics, waste tiles, waste clay, or a waste natural abrasive sludge or a mixture thereof, and 0.33-33pts.wt. of powdered additives comprising 0.2-12.0pts.wt. of carbonates, 0.1-6.0pts.wt. of sulfates, 0.0-5.0pts.wt. of boron oxide, and 0.0-10.0pts.wt. of silica soda; adding CMC, PVA, or water glass as a binder to the mixture, and kneading and forming; calcining the formed article at 400-750deg.C and foaming at 800-1050deg.C for 5-15min and stabilizing the article foam at 500-700deg.C and then cooling to 20-40deg.C; injecting the cooled article into a ball mill and polishing the surface of the article to form pores on the surface of the article.
