LECTIN EXTRACT OF VISCUM ALBUM COLORATUM HAVING ACTIVITY OF ORAL MUCOSAL IMMUNOADJUVANT

PURPOSE: Lectin extract of Viscum album coloratum having activity of oral mucosal immunoadjuvant is provided, thereby controlling mucosal immunity by oral administration of the lectin extract, so that humoral and cellular immune reactions specific to antigens can be increased. CONSTITUTION: The lectin extract(KML-C) of Viscum album coloratum having activity of oral mucosal immunoadjuvant is prepared by finely cutting Viscum album coloratum; inserting pieces of Viscum album coloratum into water; boiling the mixture; and extracting the hot water extract of Viscum album coloratum with organic solvent. A composition having activity of oral mucosal immunoadjuvant comprises the lectin extract(KML-C) of Viscum album coloratum as an effective component.
