APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING OPERATION/MAINTENANCE BASED ON IP NETWORK IN PRIVATE MOBILE COMMUNICATION SERVICE SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing operation/maintenance based on an IP network in a private mobile communication service system, and a method therefor are provided to reduce the cost by changing ATM data communication between a WSM and a BMP into LAN communication based on high-speed Ethernet. CONSTITUTION: An ASFA(ATM Switch Fabric Board Assembly) board(410) has ATM switch fabrics for executing an ATM switch action. An AETA(ATM E1/T1 interface board assembly) board(421) is connected with a private base station controller for public and a private base station by E1/T1 for transmitting and receiving ATM cells. A TCLA(Transcoder Control and Link Assembly) board(422) executes a vocoder function and a gateway function to be connected with a PBX. A BHPA(BSC High Performance Processor board Assembly) board(431) for an ATP(Air Termination Processor) has an ATP block to be matched with a mobile terminal in a wireless environment. A BHPA board(441) for a BMP has a BMP(BSC Main Block) taking charge of controlling the private base station controller. An HACA(Hardware Alarm Collection Board Assembly) board(442) has an HAB(Hardware Alarm Collecting Block) collecting alarm information generated from each block of the private base station controller. A plurality of ACMA(ATM Cell Mux/Demux board Assembly) boards(420,430,440) multiplex and demultiplex the ATM cells for providing communication paths between the AETA board(421), TCLA board(422), BHPA board(431), and BHPA board(441) for a BMP, and the ASFA board(410). A WSM(Wireless System Manager)(450) communicates operation, maintenance, and repair information with the BHPA board(441) for a BMP through high-speed Ethernet with operating, maintaining, and repairing the private base station controller.
