STRUCTURE FOR FLOOR OF VEHICLE FOR PROTECTING PASSENGER AT HEAD-ON COLLISION

PURPOSE: Structure for a floor of a vehicle is provided to improve the safety of passengers by restricting backward movement of a pad member with a restricting member in applying load from the toe board to the floor panel and the pad member at a head-on collision. CONSTITUTION: A toe board(12) is connected to the front of a floor panel(11) and lifted upward. An ECU(14) is mounted to the toe board through a dash pad(13) by a mounting bracket(15). A cross member(17) is fixed to the rear part of the floor panel, and a carpet pad(18) is extended from the lower part of the toe board to the rear part of the floor panel. The rear end of the carpet pad is contacted to the cross member to restrict backward movement. A brittle part(19) is installed around a seat(30) of the carpet pad in front of the cross member and bent by impact load.
