PURPOSE: A concrete compacting reinforcement method for a gusset plate applied with a vertical stiffener of the existing superannuated pier is provided to improve the resistance against earthquake. CONSTITUTION: The concrete compacting reinforcement method for a gusset plate applied with a vertical stiffener of the existing superannuated pier comprises the steps of: scaling the surface of a pier and manufacturing a steel gusset plate applied with a vertical stiffener simultaneously; assembling the steel gusset plate around the existing superannuated pier by welding; and placing concrete in a space with the existing pier.
