PURPOSE: An apparatus for calibrating a contact type thermometer is provided to correct an error of the contact type thermometer according to a linear proportional relationship between a detected temperature and a detected position. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for calibrating a contact type thermometer includes a testing block(100) having a predetermined diameter. A heater(500) has a heating block(510) closely adhering to a lower surface of the testing block(100) and an electric heating wire(520) positioned in the heating block(510). A thermal insulator(400) is positioned at an outer surface of the testing block(100) such that a conduction heat of the heating block(510) is distributed in a vertical direction. A first thermal detecting sensor(210) is positioned in the testing block(100) and a second thermal detecting sensor(220) is positioned at a lower portion of the first thermal detecting sensor(210).
