RESIN FOR CAR STEERING WHEEL USING THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER(TPE) AND A MUCELL PROCESS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CAR STEERING WHEEL USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A resin for a car steering wheel and a manufacturing method of a car steering wheel using the same are provided to improve environmental-friendliness, mechanical properties such as rigidity and tactility quality, and make its weight lighter compared to the conventional steering wheel, by using thermoplastic elastomer(TPE) and a MuCell process. CONSTITUTION: The resin for a car steering wheel is at least one TPE selected from styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer(SBS), styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene(SEBS) and a mixture of a polypropylene resin and synthetic rubber (ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer(EPDM)). The manufacturing method of a car steering wheel using the resin comprises mixing TPE with CO2 gas that is a physical foaming agent and molding the mixture through a MuCell process.
