PURPOSE: A server and a method for offering an instant community service on a wire/wireless Internet environment are provided to generate an instant community activated for a fixed life with no charge by using an instant community generating or registering tool provided with the predetermined contents, and lengthen the life by paying expense. CONSTITUTION: A user database(210) stores user information. A community database(220) stores the information for the generated instant community. A community generating module(230) generates the instant community by a request from a user terminal, and outputs a community screen corresponding to the instant community to the terminals of a requestor and the users. A member managing module(240) manages community member. A data processing module(250) processes the data transmission/reception between community member terminals. A community life managing module(260) assigns/lengthens/manages each instant community life, and removes or deactivates the community passing the fixed life.
