ANIMAL FEED COMPOSITION CONTAINING A SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF NA2O AND K2O TO IMPROVE THE MEAT QUALITY AND INCREASE ANIMALS' THE DISEASE RESISTANCE

PURPOSE: An animal feed composition containing a specified amount of Na2O and K2O is provided which improves the meat quality and increases the disease resistance when fed to animals while enhancing the purification capacity when used to rear fishes and shellfishes. CONSTITUTION: The animal feed composition comprises: mineral containing 2 to 6% by weight of Na2O and 2 to 10% by weight of K2O; and a nutrient source, based on the total weight of the composition. The total amount of Na2O and K2O is 4 to 15% by weight, based on the mineral weight. The nutrient source is fish meal, gelatin, dehulled soybean meal for feeding to mammals or fishes and shellfishes. The mineral contains SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO or the like and is obtained from kaolin, diatomaceous earth, agalmatolite, illite or feldspar.
