DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ARRANGING CABIN DECKS OF LARGE PASSENGER BOAT, IN PARTICULAR PANAMAX EXCURSION SHIP

PURPOSE: A device and a method for arranging cabin decks of a large passenger boat over 100m are provided to easily increase the number of the cabin decks at low cost. CONSTITUTION: In a cabin deck arranging method of a large passenger boat having a deck structure arranged on the whole area on a ship tip of a ship hull, a movable cabin unit(4) produced in advance is disposed at the deck structure. Plural cabin decks(3) are vertically overlapped on each other. A longitudinal space is formed in a central part of a lateral side of the boat on each cabin deck and composed of at least cabin corridor and a machine room space. A heating system, a water supply and drainage, a ventilation system, and electrical facilities and/or systems for the cabin unit on the cabin deck are formed in the machine room space. The cabin units are arranged at both sides of the longitudinal space along the longitudinal direction of the boat according to a pitch of a transverse beam(7) of the deck. Accordingly, lower parts of walls of the cabin units parallel to the transverse beam are combined with the transverse beam and attached on the deck. Upper parts of the walls of the cabin units are disposed between the transverse beams. A groove(4a) is formed for a flange unit(7a) of the transverse beam. The systems in the machine room space are connected to the cabin units between the transverse beams by a pipe(8), a duct, or a cable arranged horizontally for the boat.
