摘要

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a reverse link data rate is provided to exclusively transmit data rate control information for each terminal in consideration of ROT(Rise Over Thermal) and channel situations of a reverse link as well as buffer states of each terminal, thereby reducing the ROT and improving a reverse link rate efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A terminal checks a received RCB(Reverse rate Control Bit)(S100). If the RCB is an increased value, the terminal checks whether a self state supports an increase of a data rate(S110). If so, the terminal increases the data rate compared to a previous data rate(S130). If the data rate is not to be supported or the received RCB shows a maintenance value, the terminal checks whether to support the maintenance of the data rate(S120). If so, the terminal maintains the data rate as the previous data rate(S140).
