PURPOSE: A counter flow reducing device of an engine room is provided to reduce wind noise by removing counter flow from a groove between the upper part of a shroud and an upper inner wall of the engine room with a counter flow restricting plate and by minimizing noise from counter flow with a sound absorbing material. CONSTITUTION: A counter flow reducing device is composed of an engine room(100) in which an engine(E) for generating power is installed, a radiator(120) installed in front of the engine and connected to the engine, a cooling fan(110) passing external air through a suction grille(90) of the engine room to the radiator, a shroud(130) having an orifice(130') and containing the cooling fan, and a counter flow restricting plate(140) inclined and connected to the inner wall of the engine room in the outer periphery of the orifice to form the air passage to discharge external air from the radiator through the engine room to a discharge grille(150).
