STABLE AND TASTE MASKED PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORM USING POROUS APATITE GRAINS HAVING EFFECT OF EXHIBITING ITS STABLE MEDICINAL EFFICACY EVEN WHEN STORED FOR LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND PERMITTING ENCAPSULATION OF DRUGS WITH UNPLEASANT TASTE, THEREBY PERMITTING EASIER SWALLOWING OF DRUGS

PURPOSE: A stable and taste masked pharmaceutical dosage form including porous apatite grains and a drug entrapped in pores of the grains is provided. It exhibits its stable medicinal efficacy even when stored for a long period of time and permits encapsulation of drugs with an unpleasant taste, thereby permitting easier swallowing of drugs. CONSTITUTION: The stable and taste masked pharmaceutical dosage form contains porous apatite grains, 0.1 to 45% by weight of a drug entrapped in pores of the grains and additionally 0.1 to 10% by weight of water-soluble polymers, based on the weight of the grains, wherein the grains have a size of 0.1 to 1,000m and the pores of the grains have an opening of 0.5 to 300m. The grains have a specific surface area of 32 to 58m¬2 per unit gram. The drug is zinc gluconate, copper gluconate, aspirin, ibuprofen or ascorbic acid. The water-soluble polymer is selected from the group consisting of chitosan, gelatin, agar, cellulose, chitin, starch, dextrin, cyclodextrin, polylactic acid, poly(amino) acid, polyethylene glycol, polyacrylate, hyaluronic acid, polyvinyl alcohol, povidone.
