PURPOSE: Provided is an emergency air intaking device which is placed on a handrail and guardrail installed in a building and makes it possible for people to find shelter to easily take a clean and fresh air in necessary, thereby minimizing the occurrence of life accidents in case of fire. CONSTITUTION: The emergency air intaking device comprises an air supplying portion(200) for supplying air in the inside of a handrail(100); a connection plate(320) formed on the handrail; a discharging pipe for discharging the air of the inside of the handrail outward; a spring(340); and an opening and closing member formed on the connection plate. The discharging pipe includes an entrance at the inside end and an exit at the outside end to penetrate the connection plate. The spring(340) has one end supported at the outside end of the discharging pipe and the other side supported at the connection plate. The opening and closing member opens the entrance when the discharging pipe is pressed.
