PURPOSE: Provided is a method for joining two sintering bodies comprising multicomponent metal oxides having a particular crystal structure without leaving any significant interfacial phase resulting from the joining, while maintaining chemical and mechanical properties, particularly thermal circulation stability. CONSTITUTION: The method for joining two or more sintering bodies to form a composite structure comprises the steps of: providing a first sintering body comprising a first multicomponent metal oxide having a first crystal structure; providing a second sintering body comprising a second multicomponent metal oxide having a second crystal structure that is the same as the first crystal structure; providing a joining material comprising at least one metal oxide in the interface between the first and the second sintering bodies, wherein the joining material has a melting temperature lower than the first sintering temperature of the first sintering material and the second sintering temperature of the second sintering material; and heating the first and the second sintering materials and the joining material at a temperature higher than the melting temperature and lower than the first and the second sintering temperatures for a time sufficient to join the first and the second sintering materials to provide a composite structure.
