PURPOSE: Provided is Ganoderma lucidum extract for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. The Ganoderma lucidum extract contains a large quantity of lipid-soluble components and inhibits the induction of osteoporosis. Therefore, the Ganoderma lucidum extract is used as prophylaxis agents or therapeutics for osteoporosis. CONSTITUTION: Ganoderma lucidum extract is obtained by extracting Ganoderma lucidum with ethylalcohol at 70-80 deg.C for 3-5 hours, followed by concentration at 20-40 deg.C under reduced pressure. The Ganoderma lucidum extract contains lipid-soluble components and inhibits the induction of osteoporosis. The Ganoderma lucidum extract is added, as active ingredient, to prophylaxis agents or therapeutics for osteoporosis.
