GENE CONTROLLING ROOT DEVELOPMENT OF PLANT AND METHOD FOR MANIPULATING ROOT DEVELOPMENT OF PLANT USING THE SAME TO IMPROVE PHENOTYPE OF PLANT RELATED TO ROOT DEVELOPMENT AND FACILITATE THE GROWTH THEREOF
PURPOSE: A gene controlling the root development of a plant and a method for manipulating the root development of a plant using the same gene are provided, thereby improving the phenotype of a plant related to root development, and facilitating the growth of it. CONSTITUTION: The gene GmEXP1 having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 controls the root development of a plant, and encodes a protein controlling the root development of a plant, wherein the protein has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 and is isolated from Glycine max. A recombinant vector pGA643/GmEXP1 contains the gene GmEXP1. A transformed bacterium produced by transforming a bacterium with the recombinant vector pGA643/GmEXP1. The method for facilitating the root development of a plant comprises inserting the gene GmEXP1 into the expression vector, and introducing the expression vector into the plant.
