PURPOSE: A method for transmitting an instant message by using a terminal storage method is provided to transmit a voice message in real time between currently connected users by interworking a presence server with an instant message server, so that the users can immediately confirm whether the transmission of the voice message is successful. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal A(10-1) registers in a presence server(40)(201), and requests current state information on other party(10-2,10-3) to be received from the presence server(40)(202), then transmits self current state information to the presence server(40)(203). The presence server(40) exchanges information on each user terminal(10-1,10-2,10-3) by interworking with a instant message sever(50)(205). If a user A selects other party to which an instant message is transmitted(206) and presses a hot key(207), the user terminal A(10-1) transmits the instant message, and receives a response message from the instance message server(50)(208). The server(50) copies a voice message(209), and transmits a refer message to the user terminal B(10-2) while receiving a response message(210). The user terminal B(10-2) informs a user B of the voice message(211). The user terminal C(10-3) stores the voice message, and informs a user C of the voice message(213).
