PURPOSE: An automatic cooking device and a cooking method using the same are provided to reduce cooking time and to offer convenience to a user by automatically cooking rice. CONSTITUTION: An automatic cooking device is composed of a fixed-quantity rice supplying unit, a rice washing unit, and a rice cooker. The rice supplying unit includes a supply spring(15), a reduction motor(12), and a fixed-quantity rice discharge port(13), and supplies rice to the rice washing unit at a fixed quantity. The rice washing unit includes first, second and third water supply units for supplying washing water, a rice injecting port for receiving the rice from the fixed-quantity rice supplying unit, first and second water draining ports for draining washing water, and a discharge port for discharging washed rice and cooking water to the rice cooker. The rice cooker includes a hole, a pressure regulating unit for regulating the pressure in the rice cooker, a heater for heating the rice cooker, a temperature sensor, and a cooker sensor. The washed rice and the cooking water are supplied to the rice cooker through the hole.
