PURPOSE: A steam injection-type drum washing machine is provided to save water and electricity by quickly wetting the laundry in an initial water-supply step and to improve sterilizing and washing efficiencies by heating the water into high-temperature and high-pressure steam through a steam generator and supplying the steamed water into a tub and a drum. CONSTITUTION: A steam injection-type drum washing machine is composed of a tub(56) installed in a cabinet(52) to receive water; a drum(58) rotatively mounted in the tub to contain the water and the laundry and to wash the laundry; a water supply device(62) positioned at the side of the tub to supply the water to the tub; a vessel connected and installed to the water supply device; a heater disposed in the vessel to heat the water; an inlet valve installed between the vessel and the water supply device to regulate the supply of the water; and a discharge passage of which one end is positioned at the upper part in the vessel and the other end is arranged outside the vessel to discharge the steam.
