摘要

PURPOSE: SUMO-specific protease, mUlpB from mouse brain and gene thereof are provided, which are useful for development of anticancer drugs including acute leukemia. CONSTITUTION: The SUMO-specific protease, mUlpB is isolated from mouse brain, wherein the SUMO-specific protease digests protein or peptide bound to SUMO; the SUMO-specific protease has the total or portion of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2; and the SUMO-specific protease has molecular weight of 55 kDa. The SUMO-specific protease gene has the total or portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. The expression plasmids pET32a-mUIpB and pCMV-Tag-mUIpB contain the total or portion of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1. A transformant is produced by transforming microorganism BL21 with the expression plasmid pET32a-mUIpB.
