PURPOSE: An improved circular stapler is provided to prevent a contraction and bleeding of small intestine after medical operation by forming a concave groove underneath the head of the stapler. CONSTITUTION: An improved circular stapler(100) comprises an elongated cylindrical main body(40); and a head(30) attached on the top of the main body. The main body has a concave groove(41) formed at one side of the top of the main body. The head includes a cylindrical blade; a staple holder covering the cylindrical blade, and which has a plurality of staple slots for accommodating staples; a push member for pushing the staples underneath the staple slots; and a support arranged underneath the push member, and which has a circular top for pushing the push member.
