METHOD FOR INPUTTING ENGLISH CHARACTERS OF A MOBILE PHONE, CONCERNED WITH DISPLAY ENGLISH CHARACTERS, WHICH ARE ALLOCATED TO SPECIFIC NUMBER KEYS, IN DIFFERENT COLORS

PURPOSE: A method for inputting English characters of a mobile phone is provided to display English characters allocated to specific number keys, in different colors when the specific number keys are inputted as well as to display the number keys in the same colors of the allocated English characters, consequently a user can input desired English characters selectively. CONSTITUTION: When a user presses a certain number key to input an English letter, a CPU(Central Processing Unit) detects the key pressing operation(S1,S2). A key event handler unit inputs a corresponding key signal, searches an English letter that has been allocated to the key, and outputs the check result on a screen display processing unit(S3). The screen display processing unit displays the corresponding English letter allocated to the key in an own specific color on a screen display unit(S4). As the user recognizes that a capital letter 'C' is displayed in brown color, he/she presses the number key '3' in order to input the capital letter 'C'(S5). A key event sensing unit detects the key pressing operation(S6) and the key event handler unit checks whether the pressed key is valid(S7). If the pressed key is valid, the corresponding English letter 'C' is displayed on the screen display unit(S8).
