STRUCTURE OF LOWER BODY OF VEHICLE, FOR REDUCING WEIGHT AND COST, IMPROVING FUEL EFFICIENCY AND PROTECTING LEG OF DRIVER IN ACCIDENT

PURPOSE: Structure of a lower body for a vehicle is provided to prevent injury of a leg of a driver at a head-on collision, to reduce the number of parts and manufacturing cost, and to increase fuel efficiency by increasing the rigidity and minimizing deformation of the dash lower member. CONSTITUTION: A lower body of a vehicle comprises a front side member(51); a front side rear upper member(52) installed longitudinally and overlapped partially on the front side member; a front side outer rear extension panel(53) overlapped along the outer circumference of the front side rear upper member; a front side rear lower member(54) overlapped on the inner periphery of the front side rear upper member; a dash lower member(55) composed of a side reinforcing member(55a) integrally arranged in parallel with the front side rear upper member, and overlapped with the front side rear lower member; a dash panel and a center floor panel installed from the front side outer rear extension panel to the dash lower member to form the interior space; and a rear upper member reinforcement(58) installed between the front side rear upper member and the dash panel to form the double box.
