PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce the consumption power by implementing the resolution of the image signal with making the scan pulses outputted from the gate drive to be different. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel(102), a gate driving unit(106) and a timing controller(108). The liquid crystal display panel(102) is formed in a matrix which is formed by the gate lines and the data lines. The gate driving unit(106) supplies the scan pulsed being different from each other to the gate lines based on the resolution of the image signals. And, the timing controller(108) generates the selection signals to select the scan pulses as well as supplies the selection signals to the gate driving unit(106).
