PURPOSE: A sequential catalyst combustion system and a method thereof are provided to attain a heat producer substituting a common flame burner by applying catalyst combustion. CONSTITUTION: A sequential catalyst combustion system includes four units joined parallel and simultaneously achieves preheating and combustion independently. One unit comprises a catalyst heat exchanger comprising a catalyst combustion part(6) and a heat exchange part(7). The catalyst combustion part comprises a flow controller(8) situated to the upper stream area of a catalyst support member to induce uniform distribution of flux; a catalyst-immersed support member(9) in which a catalyst is immersed; and an insulation layer(10) for preventing a loss of heat from the surface of the catalyst. The flow controller, the catalyst-immersed support member, and the insulation layer are sequentially connected. The heat exchange part comprises fin tubs(11) for high temperature arranged in a triangular shape, to execute a preheating process by transmitting some of the catalyst combustion production heat to compound gas. The fin tubs are installed in a state of coming in contact with the catalyst combustion part.
