PURPOSE: A device is provided to achieve improved accuracy of control by allowing a main circuit of a vacuum circuit breaker to stop in the test, safety, and operation positions during transfer of carriage for carrying the main circuit and users to recognize each position of the main circuit. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a carriage(10) for carrying a main circuit in such a manner that the main circuit is coupled to or separated from a mounting frame(130) arranged in rear of a cubicle(120); a carriage transfer unit(20) coupled to a transfer nut so as to transfer the carriage, wherein the carriage transfer unit includes a lead screw(23) having brake grooves for stopping the carriage in the test, safety, and operation positions of the main circuit; a girder assembly(30) bearing supported to transmit rotating forces to one end of the lead screw, wherein the girder assembly has both sides fixed at front both side walls of the cubicle in such a manner that the girder assembly is attachable/detachable; a brake unit(40) for braking transfer of the carriage by being caught at the brake grooves; and a brake release unit for permitting the carriage to be re-transferred, by releasing the brake unit in a braking operation.
