PURPOSE: To provide an aluminum alloy capable of manufacturing a liner integrated cylinder block by crystallizing primary silicon on the inner surface of bore and etching aluminum part between primary silicons, and a manufacturing method of cylinder block using the aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION: The aluminum alloy for cylinder block comprises aluminum (Al) as a matrix, 14 to 20 wt.% of silicon (Si), 2 to 5 wt.% of copper (Cu), 0.5 to 3 wt.% of magnesium (Mg), 0.13 to 0.17 wt.% of manganese (Mn), and 0.18 to 0.22 wt.% of iron (Fe). The manufacturing method of cylinder block using aluminum alloy comprises a step (a) of casting a liner integrated cylinder block by casting molten aluminum alloy at high pressure; a step (b) of crystallizing primary silicon on the inner surface of a bore by quenching the remelted inner surface of the bore after remelting the inner surface of bore of the cylinder block; and a step (c) of performing an etching process of uniformly etching an aluminum part between the primary silicons after processing the inner surface of the bore correspondingly to a predetermined final roughness of the primary silicon.
