PURPOSE: A drum-type washing machine is provided to easily execute cleaning work of a foreign material collection member and to easily process the foreign materials and residual water discharged from the foreign material collection member. CONSTITUTION: A drum-type washing machine comprises a housing with a front plate and a foreign material collection member(10) and a drain pump installed in the housing. A foreign material removal hole(4) and a residual-water removal hole(5) are formed to the lower part of the front plate, to remove foreign materials and residual water from the foreign material collection member. A lower panel(7) is attached to the lower part of the front plate. A foreign material and residual-water removal cover(20) is detachably installed to a position of covering the foreign material removal hole and the residual-water removal hole.
