CEMENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING METAKAOLIN AS SUBSTITUTE MATERIAL FOR SILICA FUME

摘要

PURPOSE: Provided is a cement composition for concrete which employs commercially available and inexpensive metakaolin as a substitute material for silica fume while maintaining high strength property. CONSTITUTION: The cement composition for normal strength concrete comprises 5-25 wt% of metakaolin, 5-25 wt% of fly ash or slag and 0.5-3.0 wt% of high performance water-reducing agent, based on the weight of cement. In the composition, the high performance water-reducing agent is employed a naphthalene-based high performance water-reducing agent alone or a mixture of 80-90 wt% of a naphthalene-based high performance water-reducing agent and 10-20 wt% of polycarboxylic acid-based high performance water-reducing agent.
